Sowing the Seeds of Love

I do not want anything on this earth except the warmth of your pure love.

Winter, for me, often a time to shut down, shy away from the world and enter a living state of dormancy. But this year I experienced a seasonal shift. Being surrounded by friends who emitted so much love it felt as if i was nurtured in the caress of a warm blanket, made me realise that there is joy to be found in every season.

Curling on a sofa with loved ones as the fire crackles like the leaves that litter the landscape, there is a warmth that can only emanate from within.

A Warmth that forces my clouded mind out of its contraction, into a wider state of acceptance, a willingness to embrace all that this precious life can show me.

I am learning that not all in life is good, but its not our situation but how we react that will strengthen our bonds and develop us. To emanate love and warmth can only ignite a spark within that fuels a fire of love, gratitude and inspiration. One that changes your very soul and steers you on a new life path.

But this juxtaposition can be traumatic. As if you are baring your soul to the elements, while your mind would rather remain inside its own woodland of thoughts. It is all to easy to retreat from the world and hibernate until Mother Nature sends her cue that the world is awakening from her slumber, and so we too must uncurl and begin to spread our wings that we have kept so tight at our sides.

But the cold of winter can offer clarification and focus, as if the mind is sharpened by the penetrative frost. Us this as a time to nurture your creativity, take risks and experiment. Allow your mind to travel on the chill North Wind, where possibilities are endless, there is nothing to lose.
