Stollen Infused Rum

Ingredients

• 70cl Aged Rum
• 2tbsp Raisins
• 1tbsp Candied Orange Peel
• 1tbsp Marzipan, cut into small cubes.
• 2tbsp Glace Cherries
• 1tbsp Flaked Almonds, toasted.
• 1 Cinnamon Stick
• 2 Cardamon pods, cracked.
• 1 Blade Mace

Instructions

1. Add all ingredients to a sterile kilner/ Mason jar and set aside for 5 days to infuse, any longer and your marzipan will break down.
2. Pop the jar in the freezer for 2-3 hours to solidify any marzipan that may have dissolved, the rum will not freeze due to the high alcohol content.
3. Double strain through a fine muslin into bottles and use in all your festive cocktails. This also tastes delicious in warm milk with a hint of maple syrup and a slice of stollen.
