Many of you who know me, know my heart lies in Asian food, Japanese ranks high in these stakes. There is something beguiling about the flavours, textures, and culture, so clean on the palate, all so in balance.

 

Furikake has always been a stalwart for me, that umami rich flavour and texture bomb that has the ability to transform any dish into a powerhouse of seasoning.

 

This recipe harnesses the delicate citrus note of tangerine, used in shichimi togarashi and uses it in furikake for the easiest way to elevate a dish.
