Amethyst Burnish

A nod to my Scottish Heritage. My entire family hails from Scotland, our skin mottled with the kiss of the elements. But, part of my soul lies in Asia, a place I feel a spiritual connection, the culture, the people and of course the flavours all sing to my soul.

These cocktail plays homage to that. A Stunning blend of Gin, Japanese Whisky, Apricot Syrup, and a touch of Rice Vinegar, it’s one to sip as the wind whips the rugged landscape, sting your eyes, and knots

A Stunning blend of Gin, Japanese Whisky, Apricot Syrup, and a touch of Rice Vinegar, it’s one to sip as the wind whips the rugged landscape, sting your eyes, and knots your hair….

Ingredients

• 20ml Violet hued Gin, I use Empress Gin
• 20ml Japanese Whisky/ Scottish Whisky aged in Japanese Barrels, Dewars is perfect.
• 10ml Apricot Brandy
• 10ml Apricot Syrup, I use Monin.
• 5ml Rice Vinegar
• Ice to stir & serve.
• Orange peel to garnish

Instructions

1. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with 3 cubes of ice. Stir clockwise for 30 seconds to chill then strain into a rocks glass with a single cube of ice.
2. Express orange oil from a slice of peel then serve.
