Ginger Elderflower Gimlet

‘A monkey will never taste the ginger so that they do not know what they do not have’ Indian ProverbGinger, such a beguiling taste, fiery yet soothing, burning yet warm. Paired with the heady floral scent of elderflower, this gimlet is a cacophony for the senses, punchy yet delicate, it really is a mesmerising serve.

Ingredients

• 30ml Citrus Forward Gin
• 15ml Elderflower Liqueur, homemade is best
• 20ml Ginger Liqueur, I Use King’s Ginger
• 40ml Fresh Lemon Juice
• 20ml Elderflower Cordial
• 20ml Ginger Syrup
• Ice to stir

Instructions

1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with 5 ice cubes. Stir with a bar spoon for 30 seconds or until the sides of the glass feel cool. Add a drop to the back of your hand and taste, it should feel tart yet balanced.
2. Strain from a height into a chilled glass to aerate the mixture, serve immediately
